How quickly can you respond to emergencies?
For genuine roof emergencies – active leaks, storm damage, structural concerns – we aim to respond within 2-4 hours across Ivybridge. During normal working hours there's no callout charge. For out-of-hours emergencies, a callout fee applies but is deducted from any subsequent repair bill. Call 07723 607 800 any time.
Do you provide free quotes?
Yes, all our quotes are free with no obligation. For most work, we can quote after a visual inspection. For complex projects, we may need to conduct a more detailed survey. We explain exactly what work is needed and what it will cost before you commit to anything.
What areas do you cover?
We cover all of Ivybridge, PL21 from our base in Ivybridge and everywhere in between. For locations outside Ivybridge, PL21, please call to discuss.
Are you insured?
Yes, we carry comprehensive public liability insurance and employer's liability insurance. We're happy to provide insurance documentation on request.
What guarantee do you offer?
All our work is guaranteed. Standard repairs carry a 2-year workmanship guarantee. Full roof replacements carry a 10-year workmanship guarantee. Materials carry manufacturers' warranties, typically 15-30 years depending on products used.
Do I need to be home during the work?
Not necessarily. For external work, we can often proceed without you being present as long as we have access. For work requiring loft access or if you'd like to be shown what we're doing, being home is helpful. We'll discuss logistics when booking.
How long does a roof replacement take?
A typical 3-bedroom house roof replacement takes 5-10 working days depending on size, weather, and any timber repairs needed. We'll give you a realistic timeline when we quote. Weather can sometimes cause delays, but we keep you informed throughout.
Can you work in bad weather?
We can't safely work on roofs in rain, high winds, or icy conditions. We monitor forecasts carefully and schedule work around predicted weather. If conditions deteriorate unexpectedly, we make the roof weathertight and return when conditions improve.
Do you handle insurance claims?
Yes, we regularly work with insurance companies on storm damage and other insured repairs. We provide detailed reports, photographs, and itemised quotes suitable for insurance submission. We can liaise directly with loss adjusters if needed.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept bank transfer, debit cards, and credit cards. For larger projects, we can discuss staged payments. We don't require deposits for most work – you pay only when the job is complete and you're satisfied.
Do I need scaffolding?
Most roof work requires scaffolding for safe access. For minor repairs on accessible roofs, we may be able to work from ladders. We'll advise what's needed when quoting. Scaffolding costs are included in our quotes – no hidden extras.
How do I know if my roof needs replacing?
Signs include widespread tile damage, multiple ongoing leaks, sagging rooflines, or if repairs are becoming frequent and expensive. Roofs over 50 years old may be approaching end of life. We provide honest assessments – if repairs will suffice, we'll tell you.
